All Saints Ring the Changes

| Writtle All Saints Church
bellringers performed a sponsored peal on Saturday 5th of
December 1998. The peal was 5056 changes of Plain Bob Major. The peal
took 2 hour 59 minutes to ring starting at 9.40 am.
In excess of ,1400
has been collected with more to come. The money will be distributed
equally between the British Heart Foundation and the Writtle Church
re-ordering fund. The re-ordering work includes: the provision of
kitchen and toilet facilities in the choir vestry, the conversion of the
south porch into a creche/meeting room and the removal of some pews at
the back of the church to make a multi-purpose area. |
