Now that the dust has settled and Tony and Barbara have moved in to the Wheatsheaf >full time=, we can expect to see a lot more of both of them. By now they have put names to faces and got to know the regular motley crew.Tony and Barbara met at a party (to which Tony had not been invited so rumour has it) and married in Liverpool in 1977. No strangers to the licenced trade they came to the Wheatsheaf hot-foot from the Waggon and Horses in Braintree, a pub they ran for eight years. Prior to the >Waggon= they ran the Ship Inn, at March, in Cambridgeshire for five years and had both worked in the trade before. They took their first bar jobs as a matter of some urgency when, returning from an extensive hitch-hiking trip around much of Europe they arrived back in the UK in a >negative profit situation=.
